Inheriting new wave, Charleen draws inspiration from Depeche Mode, The Cure and INXS, and anchors it firmly in the present.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carried by airy or saturated guitars, synths that echo like memories, and a drum machine that sounds fresh out of the 80s, her voice explores introspective themes in English.<\/p>\n

Alone on stage, Charleen reveals a minimalist world that hits harder than expected.<\/p>\n

In 2024, she co-wrote \u00ab\u00a0No Name\u00a0\u00bb with Nicola Sirkis on Indochine’s latest album – one of the biggest French rock bands – ten years after lending her voice to the backing vocals on their album Black City Parade.<\/p>\n

Her latest single, Solstice, released in May 2026, is a vibrant tribute to England and marks the start of a new chapter in her musical project.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t2013 – Chorist<\/em> – Black City Parade with Indochine\n\t<\/h2>\n\tBlack City Parade<\/strong> marked the beginning of Charleen’s collaboration with the French band Indochine. She recorded backing vocals on six tracks from the album, released in 2013:\n
